Role Based Training and Certification
The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) mission of energizing and promoting a robust network and system of cybersecurity education, training, and workforce development. The NICE Framework establishes a common lexicon enabling government, academia, and private sector to align human-capital resources to our nation’s cybersecurity workforce requirements. The NICE Framework, establishes a taxonomy and common lexicon that describes cybersecurity work and workers irrespective of where or for whom the work is performed. The NICE Framework is intended to be applied in the public, private, and academic sectors. The NICE Framework organizes cybersecurity and related work into Categories, Specialty Areas, Work Roles supported by the establishment of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Tasks.
By identifying and implementing the NICE Framework, organizations efforts to prepare and implement strategic workforce planning and hiring will result in an integrated cybersecurity workforce capable of offensive and defensive cyber strategies. This integrated cybersecurity workforce can address cybersecurity challenges inherent in their organizations mission and business processes connected to cyberspace.
